The Hope, Hype and Reality of Data Clean Rooms

I was quoted by Seb Joseph at Digiday in a piece examining the gap between how much the industry was talking about data clean rooms and how few people had actually used one. More than half of the marketers surveyed had never touched a clean room, which tracked with what I was seeing on the ground at Habu.
The article dug into the privacy concerns and clarity challenges that were holding back adoption. A useful snapshot of where clean rooms were in mid-2022… lots of hype, but the practical understanding was still catching up.
